Park destinations
We schedule daily departures to the different dive sites, split across three daily departures at the following times: 09:30, 12:00 and 14:30. You can sign up for any of them, or all of them if you prefer. On explicit request, we also schedule night dives for advanced divers or those who choose this specialty.
When we go to the south reef barrier, we do two immersions given the distance and the logistics involved. When we dive near Gran Roque, we take our guests to the nearby beaches of Madrisqui or Francisqui so they can enjoy the beach, their lunch, and the company of anyone who did not dive but wants to be close.
Our aim is that you feel supported all day by our team, with the assurance that we will do it well.
-
LA GUAZA
Stone formation of three pinnacles, with a maximum depth of 35 m, where we can see the widest range of pelagics with excellent visibility almost all year. Located a few minutes' navigation from Gran Roque, it is one of the most famous destinations in the park.
-
LA PIEDRA AHOGADA
A site of similar characteristics that allows deep diving and sometimes night diving, with the opportunity to see large schools of jacks, barracuda, turtles and rays, reaching the cave of La Buceadora on the route — very interesting for its penetration.
-
LA BUCEADORA
Of similar characteristics, but starting from the other side of Gran Roque, reaching the Arco de los Sábalos and the cavern. You can also enjoy a small sailboat resting at 90 feet (27 m).
-
MADRISQUI AND FRANCISQUI
Two reefs close to Gran Roque, full of coral and sponges with a rich fauna and a white sand slope to 20 m, making it an ideal site for beginners and training.
-
SOLAPA DE RABUSQUI
After fifteen minutes' navigation, we reach Rabusqui where we find this ledge of excellent visibility that offers an unexpected wealth of fauna. The large sábalos (tarpon) and turtles are permanent, and occasionally sharks.
-
BARRERA ARRECIFAL SUR
Covers a large extension from Boca de Cote to La Salina, with drops of up to 1,500 m. We find caves and a great coral flora of multicoloured corals and sponges in a perfect state of conservation, with more than 30 different sites to dive. The frequent presence of sharks, turtles, rays, barracuda and large schools of all types makes this zone a privileged destination of the park. This zone is a PRIMITIVE MARINE ZONE, restricted to certain activities and subject to park permit, which we hold. It presents itself as a practically virgin and unforgettable destination.

Who runs this
Ecobuzos is a PADI 5-Star Dive Resort and DAN-affiliated dive operation working the reefs of Los Roques National Park from Gran Roque. This site is the operation's own record of that water: the six sites we dive, the two boats we run, the course ladder, and what each of those costs.
Numbers that come from an instrument or an operations log — depth, tank rack capacity, engine horsepower, departure times — are stated as measured, next to the figure. Numbers that come from published research name the study and its authors. Rates and boat specifications inherited from the operation's original site (archived 2002–2013) are marked archived and dated, and the date is the year of the last archived capture of that specific page — not the year the site closed.
Corrections and updates: [email protected]. Every correction that changes a published number is logged with its date at the foot of the page.
